iPhone Fold Tipped to Pack Much Larger Battery than iPhone 17 Pro Max

Apple, a US-based tech giant known for its advanced and innovative hardware, software, and services, continues to draw attention for developments that influence the broader tech industry. Apple’s most speculated foldable device, dubbed the iPhone Fold for now, is expected to come out next year, although some sources point to a 2027 release. A new leak has emerged, providing new information about the foldable iPhone’s battery capacity.

The report suggests that the iPhone Fold will have a battery larger than the iPhone 17 Pro Max, which has a 4,823mAh battery or a 5,088mAh battery for the eSIM-only version. The rumored foldable model will reportedly have a battery capacity between 5,400mAh and 5,800mAh. According to the report, Apple is assessing the foldable iPhone with battery power discussed above. It was also stated that the first versions of iPhone Air had a 3,000mAh battery, but Apple later added a greater capacity for the final shipping model.

The same could occur with the iPhone Fold, which could ultimately be shipped with a battery closer to 6,000mAh. The foldable device reportedly comes with a 7.58 inch internal display and a 5.38 inch external display, all indicating that it may require a larger battery for the increased power demand.
