Last month, OPPO increased the prices of its popular A-series models, the A5i and A5x, by up to Rs. 1,000/-. Now, the company has announced another price hike, with an increase of Rs. 2,000/- for each model. The updated prices will take effect from January 4th, 2026.

OPPO A5i & OPPO A5x Updated Prices After Price Hike
The OPPO A5i (4GB+128GB) is currently priced at Rs. 32,999 and will see a price hike to Rs. 34,999, reflecting a price hike of Rs. 2,000. Similarly, the OPPO A5x (4GB+64GB) is currently priced at Rs. 30,999, which will increase to Rs. 31,999 starting 4th January, 2026.
Oppo A5i and A5x Specs & Features
Oppo A5i and Oppo A5x both come with a 6.67 inch IPS LCD display with a resolution of 720×1604 pixels, offering clear and bright visuals. Despite sharing the same name, both devices’ rear cameras are different. Oppo A5i features an 8MP camera, and the Oppo A5x has a 32MP rear camera, while both have the same 5MP front camera for selfies.
Inside, both phones are powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 6s Gen 1 processors. Oppo A5i is built on a 6nm chip, and Oppo A5x is built on an 11nm chip. Battery capacity also differs, Oppo A5i having a 5100mAh battery and the Oppo A5x having a larger 6000mAh battery.

OPPO stated that the recent price hike is due to the higher memory costs and rising import expenses. For some time, the global market has been facing a memory storage shortage, which has impacted pricing across the industry. As a result, OPPO has raised the prices of its smartphones. The new prices will take effect from January 4th, 2026. Until then, customers can still purchase these smartphones at the previous, lower prices.
