TECNO has officially launched the POVA Curve 2 5G in Pakistan, expanding its smartphone lineup with a device focused on entertainment, gaming, and extended battery life. The new model targets users looking for a combination of modern features, distinctive design, and everyday performance in the mid-range segment. The launch brings another 5G smartphone option to Pakistan’s competitive market, with TECNO highlighting the phone’s design, battery capacity, and display experience as key selling points.
TECNO POVA Curve 2 5G Specifications
Design and Display
The POVA Curve 2 5G features a 6.78-inch curved AMOLED display with a Full HD+ resolution of 2364 × 1080 pixels and a 144Hz refresh rate. The high refresh rate enables smoother scrolling, animations, and supported games, while AMOLED technology delivers deep blacks and vibrant colours. The screen also supports up to 4,500 nits of peak brightness under specified conditions and is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 7i. The phone measures 7.42mm in thickness, giving it a slim profile despite its large battery.
Performance, RAM and Storage
The TECNO POVA Curve 2 5G is powered by MediaTek’s Dimensity 7100 5G chipset, built on a 6nm process and featuring an octa-core CPU clocked at up to 2.4GHz. Graphics are handled by the Arm Mali-G610 MC2 GPU, while 5G connectivity supports compatible mobile networks. The phone runs Android 16 with TECNO’s HiOS 16 interface.
The Pakistani variant comes with 8GB of physical RAM and 256GB of internal storage, alongside an additional 8GB of extended RAM. Extended RAM uses part of the phone’s storage to supplement memory, so it does not offer the same performance as 16GB of physical RAM.
Camera Features
For photography, the POVA Curve 2 5G features a 50MP main rear camera paired with a 2MP secondary camera. The main camera handles everyday photography, while the secondary sensor supports additional camera functions. On the front, the phone includes a 13MP selfie camera.
TECNO also includes AI-powered tools such as AI Noise Cancellation, AI Art Gallery, and AI Image Eraser and Extender. These features add options for calls and image editing, although their usefulness will depend on individual needs and the results they produce in practice.
Battery and Charging
The POVA Curve 2 5G’s 8,000mAh battery is one of its biggest selling points. Its capacity is well above the 5,000mAh batteries commonly found in smartphones, making it an appealing option for users who spend long hours gaming, streaming videos, browsing, or using mobile data. TECNO advertises up to three days of use, but actual battery life will vary with screen settings, network conditions, and usage.
The phone supports 45W fast charging through its USB Type-C port. It also features an in-display fingerprint sensor for biometric security, along with connectivity options including 5G, Bluetooth 5.4, Wi-Fi, GPS, and NFC.
