Industry professionals refer to Tecno mobile’s recent price increase in Pakistan as a result of rising import costs as well as fluctuations in the local currency compared to the US dollar. Due to shipping costs and the depreciation of the Pakistani rupee against the US dollar, the overall cost, including sourcing components and producing smartphones, has increased. In its official statement, Tecno stated that the price adjustments are necessary to maintain product quality and to ensure availability to its dealer & retail network nationwide.
