After months of leaks and rumors, Samsung has officially unveiled its first Tri-Fold smartphone called Samsung Galaxy Z Trifold in its home country, South Korea. This new device will display the largest screen on a Galaxy foldable ever made and is equipped with state-of-the-art software enhancements and fully featured specifications typical of a flagship device. The Galaxy Z Trifold introduces a dual titanium hinge system engineered to protect the main display when the device is folded. Once unfolded, the device reveals a 10” screen with a 2,160×1,584 resolution, a 120Hz adaptive refresh rate and peak brightness of 1,600 nits. The panel includes a punch hole cutout on the right for the 10MP selfie camera and comes with a pre-installed protective film, consistent with Samsung’s foldable lineup.
The cover display measures 6.5 inches, offering a 2,520×1,080 resolution, a 120Hz adaptive refresh rate, and a 21:9 aspect ratio. It supports peak brightness up to 2,600 nits and is reinforced with Corning Gorilla Glass Ceramic 2 for added durability.
Galaxy Z Trifold comes equipped with 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM powered by the Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite and paired with Adreno 830 (1200 MHz) GPU and Octa core CPU which clocks at max. 4.47 GHz, ensuring flagship level performance.
In the battery section, the Galaxy Z Trifold is powered by a 5,600mAh three-cell battery distributed across its three back panels for balanced power delivery and all-day performance, despite measuring just 3.9 mm at its thinnest point. The device supports 45W wired charging, 15W wireless charging and 4.5W reverse wireless charging.
In the camera department, the Galaxy Z Trifold is equipped with a triple rear camera system, including a 12MP ultra-wide lens with Dual Pixel AF, an f/2.2 aperture, 1.4 μm pixels, and a 120° field of view, a 200MP main wide-angle camera with Quad Pixel AF, OIS, an f/1.7 aperture, 0.6 μm pixels, and an 85° field of view, offering 2x optical quality zoom via Samsung’s Adaptive Pixel Sensor and a 10MP telephoto lens with PDAF, OIS, an f/2.4 aperture, 1.0 μm pixels, a 36° field of view, 3x optical zoom and up to 30x digital zoom.
For selfies, the device includes two front cameras, a 10MP sensor on the cover display with an f/2.2 aperture, 1.12 μm pixels, and an 85° field of view, and a 10MP camera on the main foldable screen with the same aperture and pixel size but a wider 100° field of view.
The Galaxy Z Trifold weighs 309 grams and measures 159.2×75×12.9 mm when folded. It also features IP48 ingress protection, providing resistance against dust and water. On the software side, the device runs One UI 8 based on Android 16, offering a large canvas for advanced multitasking. Users can run three full-sized apps side by side in portrait mode, and the phone is Samsung’s first to feature a standalone Samsung DeX, delivering a desktop like interface from the Quick Settings panel and enabling a portable workstation experience when paired with a mouse and keyboard.
Samsung Galaxy Z TriFold Variants, Price and Availability
Samsung Galaxy Z Trifold will be available with 16GB of RAM and will offer storage options of either 512GB or 1TB. Samsung Galaxy Z Trifold will be come in a single color: Crafted Black finish. Galaxy Z Trifold will be available in Korea starting December 12, 2025, and will be retail for KRW 3,594,000 in South Korea. After its Korea release, Samsung Galaxy Z Trifold will roll out to Taiwan, Singapore, UAE and the U.S with the global price of around $2,450.
Following its launch in Korea and other international market, the Samsung Galaxy Z Trifold is expected to arrive in Pakistan. However, its availability in the country has not been confirmed by any Samsung Pakistan. If the Galaxy Z Trifold launches in Pakistan, the 512GB model is expected to cost around Rs. 689,499/-, while the 1TB variant would likely be Rs. 729,599/-, inclusive PTA taxes & custom duties.
