The POCO F8 Pro debuted last month as the company’s latest flagship device, with the POCO X8 Pro expected to launch soon. However, recent rumors suggest that Xiaomi may skip the standard POCO X8 and POCO F8 models altogether. The early arrival of the POCO F8 Pro and F8 Ultra further supports this shift in strategy. Meanwhile, new certifications point to the POCO M8 series as the next lineup to launch across multiple markets.

Poco X8 Pro Max Arrives as Poco X8 Steps Aside
For the first time, POCO is expected to use the “Pro Max” branding on one of its smartphones. The report based on Mi code states that several upcoming Redmi smartphones will be rebranded as POCO devices. The POCO M8 5G is expected to be based on the Redmi Note 15 5G, while the POCO M8 Pro 5G will be based on the Redmi Note 15 Pro Plus 5G. The POCO X8 Pro is said to be a rebranded Redmi Turbo 5, and the POCO X8 Pro Max is linked to the Redmi Turbo 5 Pro Max, which is yet to launch in China.
The standard POCO X8 does not appear in the list and has not been spotted in the GSMA IMEI database, suggesting that the model may have been cancelled. Earlier, POCO offered multiple X series models, including a Neo variant, but the X8 lineup is expected to be limited to the X8 Pro and X8 Pro Max. The report also claims that the POCO X8 Pro may launch with a special Iron Man Edition.

Poco F8 Could Remain Just a Rumor
The China exclusive Redmi K90 Pro Max and Redmi K90 have been rebranded for global markets as the POCO F8 Ultra and POCO F8 Pro. The report also suggests that the regular POCO F8 may not be released, although there is no solid evidence to confirm this. This is significant because earlier reports said the POCO F8 would be the only model from the F8 series to launch in India, an important market for POCO.
