After releasing a bunch of teasers, Honor has officially launched the Honor 500 series in China, comprising two models: the Honor 500 and the Honor 500 Pro. The new lineup is designed to provide excellent performance, great battery life, and a better viewing experience all within a sleek and lightweight package. Honor 500 Series Specs & Features
Both Honor 500 & Honor 500 Pro come equipped with a 6.55 inch flat AMOLED screen boasting a 1.5K resolution (2736×1264 pixels) and a sharp pixel density of 460 PPI. The display provides a refresh rate of 120Hz and 10 bits of color reproduction with a maximum brightness of 6000 nits. Honor has also included its new Motion Blur Relief Display Technology, which automatically activates while using the device in a vehicle. Company has also stated that their bezels are only 1.05mm thick, which claims to be the thinnest in the world.
The Honor 500 has Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 processor, created with an efficient production process of 4nm, whereas the Honor 500 Pro is based on the Snapdragon 8 Elite with a newer design at 3nm for superior performance. The Honor Phantom Engine technology enhances gameplay stability, achieving 120fps in popular MOBAs. Even during the lowest performing 1%, both devices reach an incredible 118.4 frames per second.

The Honor 500 series packs a 200MP main camera with a large 1/1.4-inch CMOS sensor which is the biggest in its price class, as claimed by the company. Both models include a 12MP autofocus ultra-wide lens, while the Pro adds a 50MP 3x telephoto with OIS. On the front, they feature a 50MP selfie camera with 4K video support and a 3D depth sensor for better portraits. A dedicated side-mounted camera key offers instant access, even when the screen is off. Both models share the 200MP main and 12MP ultra-wide setup, with the Pro gaining the extra 50MP telephoto lens.
The Honor 500 series is equipped with an 8000mAh huge battery, which the company claims is the largest in its segment while still allowing the devices to maintain a slim 7.75mm profile. Both models support 80W wired fast charging and up to 27W reverse wired charging. The Pro variant further expands its charging capabilities with 50W wireless charging, positioning it as the more feature-rich option in the lineup.

Both devices operate on MagicOS 10.0, based on Android 16. The customized interface offers enhanced photography tools and seamless cross platform file sharing, including a new iOS Tap-to-Transfer feature capable of moving ten Live Photos in just one second. Both Honor devices have IP68, IP69, and IP69K certifications for water and dust resistance. The Honor Pro comes with an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor, and the standard Honor comes with an optical fingerprint sensor.

The Honor 500 series is now open for pre orders in China, and deliveries are scheduled to start on November 27, while the launch date for Pakistan has not been announced yet.
