Redmi A5 Becomes More Expensive in Pakistan After Latest Price Hike

Xiaomi has officially announced a price hike for its Redmi A5 smartphone in Pakistan. According to a price notification shared with dealers, the Redmi A5 both 64GB and 128GB variants have received a price hike of up to Rs. 2,500. The revised prices came into effect on January 1, 2026, and dealers and customers are advised to check the updated rates before making any purchase decisions. Redmi A5 Updated Price in Pakistan 2026

The Redmi A5 base variant (4GB+64GB) has seen a price increase of Rs. 2,500. Previously it was retailing at Rs. 22,999, and now Redmi A5 price in Pakistan is Rs. 25,499. Meanwhile, the Redmi A5 higher variant (4GB+128GB) price has been revised from Rs. 26,999 to Rs. 28,999, reflecting a price hike of Rs. 2,000.

Redmi A5 Specs & Features 

The Redmi A5 comes equipped with a large 6.88 inch IPS LCD featuring a 120Hz refresh rate and a resolution of 720×1640 pixels. The device is powered by the Unisoc T7250 (12nm) chipset, paired with an Octa core CPU and Mali G57 MP1 GPU for everyday performance. 

In the camera department, it offers a 32MP rear camera and an 8MP front camera with 1080p video recording at 30fps. The smartphone packs a 5,200mAh battery with 15W fast charging support and runs on Android 15. The Redmi A5 is available in Black, Blue, Green, and Silver color options.

Reason behind the Redmi A5 Price Hike

Experts believe that the price hike may be due to factors like currency depreciation, higher shipping costs, or the global shortage of memory chips that is affecting smartphone production across the world. However, Xiaomi has not officially disclosed the reason behind the price hike.
