Redmi 12C unveiled with MediaTek Helio G85, 50MP Camera & 5000 mAh Battery

Xiaomi has just launched the entry level smartphone Redmi 12C in China. The newly launched mobile looks quite similar to Redmi A1 but different features.

The entry-level smartphone price in China starts at only ¥699 (approx. Rs. 23,000). It is now available to purchase in the region.

The prices of the newly launched Redmi 12C in China are the following:

  • 4GB + 64GB – ¥699 (approx. Rs. 23,000 or $100)
  • 4GB + 128GB – ¥799 (approx. Rs. 26,000 or $115)
  • 6GB + 128GB – ¥899 (approx. Rs. 29,500 or $130)

The device features a 6.71-inch dewdrop notch display (LCD) that support a HD+ resolution of 1650 x 720 pixels and 500 nits brightness. It is powered by a MediaTek Helio G85 SoC paired with LPDDR4x RAM and eMMC 5.1 storage. While color options in Redmi 12C are Shadow Black, Dark Blue, Mint Green, or Lavender

Redmi 12C houses a 50MP dual camera setup on the rear side. On the front, it comprises with a 5MP selfie camera.

The entry-level phone is equipped with a massive 5000mAh battery which supports 10W standard charging. The handset supports dual SIM, dual-band WiFi, Bluetooth 5.1, and GNSS. It comes with a 3.5mm headphone jack, a dedicated Micro SD card slot, a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor, and a Micro USB.

Redmi 12C comes with the latest MIUI 13 (optimized version). The android version of the device is unknown for now but it looks much similar to Android 13. It may lack some MIUI 13 features, since the software is optimized for low-level hardware.

Considering the launch pattern from Xiaomi Pakistan we can expect Redmi 12C very soon in Pakistani markets but for now there is no confirmation from Xiaomi Pakistan Officials. Expected starting price of Redmi 12C in Pakistan is approx. Rs. 30,000 (incl. taxes) but we will update you as this device launched in Pakistan.
